What to expect in our classes
Strength
The foundation of our program! These classes focus on lifting weights, improving your strength and balance, and developing an appreciation for what your body can do.
Each class is led by a certified personal trainer and consists month long training cycles, gradually progressing in difficulty week by week. It caters to all fitness levels, providing options that are suitable for your current abilities. For optimal results, we recommend signing up for consistent class days each week if possible. And most importantly, have faith in the process. This training style guarantees noticeable improvements in how you feel and what you can achieve as you continue with us.
Strength+Conditioning
Strength work followed by metabolic and cardiovascular conditioning for those who enjoy the combination of both in their workouts. You’ll start with a strength based lift and accessory work, and end with a heart rate-increasing finisher.
Classes are led by a certified personal trainer and also follow a progressive program, gradually progressing in difficulty week by week.
It is recommended that you have a good base and experience in Strength before attending these classes.
Conditioning/Cardio
Don’t be scared by the word “cardio” - these classes are a great way to work your cardiovascular system and your heart health! We have 2 options, both of which can be adjusted to suit your comfort level and abilities.
In our midweek Stretch and Conditioning class we take a break from the weights, starting with 20 minutes of structured interval training designed to get your heart rate up. The remainder of the class focuses on some much needed stretching!
Cardio-Strength classes are a bit more intense, partly due to the longer length, with varying formats and the inclusion of weights, but still suitable for all levels.
Yoga (for everyone!)
With all the tension created in our bodies during our Strength classes, stretching is a necessary part of our routine. When deciding to add it through yoga, we had one request - make it something everyone can do!
These classes combine breath work, meditation, and mindful movement to help relieve tension, reduce anxiety, and calm your nervous system. The goal is for you to leave class feeling calm, balanced, and refreshed, while working on the mobility through our muscles and joints. Little or no experience with yoga? No problem! Like we said, it is suited for all levels.
